In June, we published our first JCAR ATRACE digital magazine, available to read in all programme languages here.
The inaugural edition outlines some of the key moments that took place in the first months of our work. These include the programme launch during Benelux Water Day in November 2023, the Rurtalsperre workshop, and our first study presentation.
We had the honour of having a contribution by Mark Harbers, former Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management of the Netherlands. In the magazine foreword, the former minister emphasizes the importance of transboundary cooperation and knowledge consolidation for improved water security and climate resilience. This is the essence of our knowledge program's mission.
In our first magazine, we dive deeper into different topics linked to water management and regional cooperation. Explore the articles featuring insights from our programme's experts and researchers, as well as water managers, representatives from regional water authorities, and water associations.
Interested in our research activities? We take a look at our first scoping study on the Vechte, Berkel, and Oude IJssel river basins, and outline ongoing Rapid Action Team (RAT) studies. Curious about the next-generation water experts? We introduce some of the young researchers involved in JCAR ATRACE.
